Summary: Windscribe is a Toronto-based, bootstrapped, privacy-first VPN company serving 90M+ users globally. You’ll build secure, reliable Go microservices and APIs with high autonomy and fast iteration, owning observability, documentation, and privacy/security audits while challenging requirements to find quick wins. The role values simple solutions, rapid delivery, and a “get it done” mindset backed by strong engineering fundamentals and first-principles thinking at scale.
AI-native signal: The team expects AI-assisted development and agentic coding workflows (e.g., Cursor/Claude Code-style tools) to accelerate learning, debugging, profiling, and delivery while boosting individual and team velocity.
Stack: Go, HTTP/TLS/TCP/IP, DNS, Linux, structured logging, observability, security, microservices; plus Prometheus/Grafana, Rust/PHP/C++ as bonuses.
