Software Engineer 2 - GenAI

About the Role

Join Abnormal Security's GenAI group to build AI-powered products and internal applications.

What You Will Do

• Build and integrate AI models, services, and pipelines into production systems.
• Partner with engineers and product managers to translate requirements into solutions.
• Apply prompt engineering and build on LLMs, agents, and RAG.
• Contribute to backend services and operational excellence.

Must Haves

• 2+ years of Python and backend systems experience.
• Hands-on LLM work including prompt engineering and RAG.
• Experience with AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude, or Cursor.
• Familiarity with OpenAI or Anthropic APIs and libraries like LangChain.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Airflow, Elasticsearch, REST APIs, CI/CD, or DevOps.

Compensation

Base salary range 148,800-175,000 USD plus benefits and equity eligibility.
